ROOTED IN MARTIAL ARTS. BUILT AROUND YOU.PRE-OPENING CONCEPT · TENNESSEE
MORE THAN A PLACE TO WORK OUT
The best part of training? Having a reason to come back.
Maybe it’s watching your child try something that once felt intimidating. Maybe it’s your first clean technique, a stronger lift, or the familiar faces who make a hard day better.
That’s the kind of place we’re building. Thoughtful coaching. Room to ask questions. People who care that you showed up. Hikari brings martial arts and everyday fitness together so you can build a routine that means something to you.
YOUR GOALS. YOUR STARTING POINT.
There’s room for you here.
New to training? Coming back? Ready for more? Start where you are.
01
YOUTH MARTIAL ARTS
A strong start for your child.
A place to practice focus, learn with a partner, and take pride in progress. Our planned kids BJJ program puts engaged, hands-on instruction at the center of every class.
Start with the fundamentals or keep developing your game. Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Taekwondo, and striking bring different ways to challenge yourself, with room to learn at your own pace.
Lift, move, and build a routine you can return to. A dedicated strength and cardio area, plus planned private lessons and personal training, support the work you do on and off the mat.
Chris, James, and Andrew already work together through Hikari Fight Gear. The gym is the next step: a home for the instruction, relationships, and love of training that brought them together.
Chris and James currently teach youth students and help lead adult classes. The plan for Hikari keeps its founders close to the experience, from your first question to the condition of the mats.

A few things you might be wondering.
Do I need experience to join?+
The concept includes fundamentals classes for people starting out, alongside advanced training. Whether you’re new, returning, or experienced, we want to help you find an appropriate starting point.
Can my child train here?+
Youth martial arts is central to the plan, with kids BJJ proposed on weekdays and Saturday mornings. Age ranges and class placement will be announced before enrollment.
Can I join just for the gym?+
Yes, a standalone strength and cardio membership is part of the concept. Adult martial-arts members would also have an optional open-gym add-on. Access hours will be confirmed before opening.
When will Hikari open?+
We’re in the planning and founding-community stage. The proposed Pryor Drive location is not yet a confirmed operating gym. Join the gym newsletter for location, buildout, and opening updates.
What does a founding deposit cover?+
The deposit amount, what it applies toward, and refund or cancellation terms have not been finalized. Those details will be published before payment is enabled. Joining the newsletter does not reserve a place.
